Elegant Flavor Profile
Distilled, aged, and bottled in Kentucky, Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has a rich, elegant mahogany color and a nose that’s a nice balance of oak and sweet notes with dried fruit, caramel, and vanilla. The gentle flavor is a soft tannin start that finishes with delightful toasted oak lactones. As it slides down your throat, the taste evolves into a creamy, buttery sensation with butterscotch notes and a vanilla wafer finish. Just to make sure you’re giving this spirit its due respect, Chicken Cock packs a heat that lets you know its the real-deal; full-bodied and 90-proof. In keeping with its authenticity, our bourbon is bottled in prohibition-era replica bottles modeled after the original Chicken Cock packaging.

Distilled, aged, and bottled in Kentucky, Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has a rich, elegant mahogany hue; a nose which balances oak tones with sweet notes of dried fruit, caramel, and vanilla; and a palate that opens with soft tannins. A creamy, almost buttery mouthfeel is complemented by butterscotch notes and toasted oak, resolving with a vanilla finish. At 90 proof, there is a slight, welcome bourbon heat. The bourbon is bottled in a replica of the Prohibition-era Chicken Cock bottle.

Double Oak Kentucky Whiskey
Age and wood. You can't have great whiskey without great wood. That is why we aged our 8-year-old whiskey in American oak barrels twice. This process allows us to extract all of the great flavor within the oak to create a robust and interesting sipper. Double the wood, double the flavor.

Chanticleer
Chanticleer celebrates the long time French-American friendship dating back to the 1700's and to Paris, Kentucky where Chicken Cock was founded in 1856. Sealed in a prohibition era collectible tin, this Kentucky Straight Bourbon finished in fine French Cognac casks has vibrant notes of ripened peaches with tannic bursts of vanilla and cherry. This highly limited release will never be produced again!

Island Rooster
Island Rooster is a limited edition Kentucky Straight Rye finished in rum barrels. Inspired by a trip to the Caribbean, where roosters announce the coming day, we decided to finish 25 barrels of our Signature Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey in Caribbean rum casks. The result is a relaxing blend of spicy notes from the rye with candied molasses notes from the rum barrels. Sun and sand meets the Bluegrass state. Cheers!

Originally established in Paris, Kentucky in 1856, Chicken Cock was forced to move production up to Canada during Prohibition. The Canadian Rye whiskey produced during that period was then smuggled back into the U.S. in tin cans, earning the brand the nickname, “The whiskey in a tin can.

Our Master Distiller, Gregg Snyder, went out in search of a small selection of our very best and oldest barrels, handpicking 10 special barrels for this 15-year-old limited release. Bottled at barrel proof, this powerhouse bourbon was well worth the wait.

For our second beer barrel finish release, we collaborated again with our friends at Goodwood Brewing in Louisville. Bourbon was the star of the first release, this time around Rye takes center stage. Goodwood used original Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon barrels to finish their delicious Blonde Ale. When they were done, we took those barrels back and filled them with our Kentucky Straight Rye. The result is a delicious marriage of sweet bourbon flavor and rye spiciness, with notes of hops.

In the Summer of 2019, we bottled twelve barrels of our award-winning 10 Year Old Double Barrel Bourbon. We then gave six of those barrels to our friends at Goodwood Brewing in Louisville to finish their delicious Walnut Brown Ale.

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 Parts Chicken Cock Whiskey
3 Dashes Angostura Bitters
Pinch of Raw Sugar
Cherry to Garnish
DIRECTIONS
- In a rocks glass, muddle the sugar and bitters.
- Add ice, then pour the bourbon on top.
- Stir gently to mix.
- Garnish with a cherry.






Sazerac Cocktail


Sazerac Cocktail
INGREDIENTS
1 1/4 parts Chicken Cock Rye Whiskey
1 1/4 parts Cognac
1 Sugar Cube
1/2 tsp Cold Water
3 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Absinthe to Rinse
DIRECTIONS
- Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe, discarding any excess, and set aside.
- In a mixing glass, muddle the sugar cube, water and both bitters.
- Add the rye and cognac fill with ice, and stir until well-chilled.
- Strain into the prepared glass.
- Twist a slice of lemon peel over the surface to extract the oils and then discard

INGREDIENTS
2 Parts Chicken Cock Whiskey
1/2 Part Sweet Vermouth
2-3 Dashes Angostura Bitters
Cherry to Garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Pour the whiskey, sweet vermouth and bitters into a mixing glass filled with ice.
- Stir until the mixing glass is very cold to touch.
- Place the ice and maraschino cherry in a rocks glass, then strain the shaker over the fresh ice.
